1.What cookies are#

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They let a site remember things, such as that you’re signed in. This policy covers tooition.com and teacher websites hosted on Tooition, including teachers’ own domains.

2.The cookies we use#

We use only cookies that are essential for Tooition to work and stay secure:

Our sign-in cookies are HttpOnly (page scripts can’t read them) and are sent only over secure connections in production. The teacher dashboard and each teacher’s family portal use separate cookies, so signing in to one doesn’t sign you in to another.

3.What we don’t use#

No advertising or behavioural-targeting cookies.
No third-party analytics cookies.
No social-media tracking pixels.

4.Other storage in your browser#

The AI assistant keeps your conversation in your browser tab’s session storage, so it survives a page refresh. It isn’t a cookie, it isn’t sent to us as stored history, and your browser clears it when you close the tab.

5.Stripe payment pages#

When you pay a teacher or Tooition, you may be taken to a Stripe page, or see a Stripe payment form. Stripe sets its own cookies there for fraud prevention and to run the payment, under Stripe’s own privacy and cookie policies.

6.Your choices#

Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, we don’t show a cookie banner. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but if you block our cookies you won’t be able to stay signed in, and security checks may fail.

If we ever want to use non-essential cookies, we’ll update this policy first and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
